Challenge: In order to attract new donors, a hospital foundation wanted to use direct mail for its fundraising campaigns and events. But they needed a partner to produce and deliver this direct mail in a highly confidential and timely manner. A critical component of the program was a high level of personalization with unique messaging for each prospective or current donor. The data processing was complex, and pieces had to be printed and mailed with 100% accuracy. The direct mail campaigns would include standard and personalized color laser letters, postcards, and special event invitations.

Solution: Within two weeks of the initial meeting with the client, Anderson implemented a streamlined and secure program to help the client achieve their fundraising goals. We used our capabilities in secure data processing and management, 4-color variable digital printing to achieve the highest degree of personalization, and in-house mailing services to print and deliver highly effective direct mail campaigns within short turnaround times.

Results: The program has resulted in record-breaking response rates and increased donations. The client continues to use the program to announce events, educate donors and prospects about programs, and to thank donors for their loyalty.
