What's New? U.S. Postal Service Move Update Reminder Effective November 23, 2008, the USPS requires that all mailers being sent out First Class presorted mail or Standard Class mail use mailing address data that has been updated with one of the USPS approved “Move Update” methods. This requirement, which previously applied only to First Class presorted mail, must now be done within 95 days prior to the mail date, instead of the previous mandate of 185 days. For example, any mail going out on November 23 needs to have a mailing database that was last updated no earlier than August 20. This more frequent address Move Updating is intended to reduce the amount of forwarded and undeliverable mail. For complete details on the Move Update, click here.
